چکیده

The isotopic thermochronological study included the U–Pb (SHRIMP) and fission-track dating of zircon and fission-track and (U–Th)–He dating of apatite from syenite intrusions cropping out in the eastern slope of the Sredinnyi Range of Kamchatka. The emplacement time of the intrusion was determined, and its exhumation velocity was evaluated. According to U–Pb (SHRIMP) zircon dating, the age of syenite crystallization (63.0 ± 0.6 and 70.4 ± 0.7 Ma) corresponds to the Late Cretaceous and Early Paleogene. Starting from 25 Ma, the cooling rate of the intrusion, which was likely controlled by exhumation, varied from 4 ° C/Ma to 20 ° C/Ma. If the geothermal gradient is assumed to be 30 ° C/km, the exhumation rate of the intrusion from the Late Oligocene and until now ranged from 0.18 km/Ma to 0.67 km/Ma.

Cooling history and exhumation of the nepheline syenites, NW Iran: constraints from apatite fission track

Thermal history and apatite fission-track ages were determined for the Kaleybar, Razgah and Bozqush alkaline intrusions which display Eocene-Oligocene stratigraphic age. These subduction-related intrusions are located in the Alborz-Azarbaijan magmatic belt which is characterized by a Paleogene magmatic flare-up associated with extensional/transtensional tectonism. The mean of Uranium content an...

Rb-Sr GEOCHRONOLOGY OF PEGMATITES, PLUTONIC ROCKS AND A HORNFELS IN THE REGION SOUTH-WEST OF ARAK, IRAN

In the area SW of Arak, intrusives are emplaced into metasediments of early Mesozoic age. The intrusive rocks vary in morphology, structure and mineralogy, and exhibit various degrees of alterations; Rb-Sr geochronological data have been obtained to constrain their timing. There are three different groups of granitic rocks in the area: (a) the Astaneh intrusion, consisting of granite, biotite g...

ویژگی‌های کانی‌شناسی و سنگ‌شناسی سنگ‌های فلدسپاتوئیددار جنوب غرب سراب (شمال‌غرب ایران)

The major syenitic bodies of Iran are spread on northwestern part, East Azerbaijan Province, which belong to late Eocene, early Oligocene magmatisem. Abbasabbad–Bashkand pluton is one of these intrusions, which is located as some minor and autonomous bodies in western side of the main Bozghush nepheline syenite pluton. Porphyritic, microgranular and porphyritic microgranular are common textures...

Ductile deformation and mass loss in the Franciscan Subduction Complex: implications for exhumation processes in accretionary wedges

Deformation measurements from 64 sandstone samples collected in three study areas from the Eastern Belt of the Franciscan Complex are used to evaluate how the high pressure metamorphic interior of the Franciscan wedge was exhumed. Pressure estimates indicate 25-30 km of exhumation in this part of the Franciscan Complex. Much of the Eastern Belt has a semi-penetrative cleavage that formed by so...

Mineral chemistry and physical conditions of crystallization in Filshour and Goft dioritic intrusions, Southwest of Sabzevar

The Late cretaceous dioritic intrusions of Filshour and Goft in southwest of Sabzevar are situated in the northern edge of central Iran zone. The rocks of these plutons show porphyry, granular, ophitic and subophitic textures and are composed of amphibole, plagioclase and clinopyroxene (in diorites), along with quartz (in quartz diorites). The amphiboles of these rocks are in the group of calci...
